Calmel & Joseph's Villa Blanche Viognier is beautifully ripe with flavours of nectarine and fennel seed. Not a textbook, entry-level Viognier. A little bit different. Ripe summer stone fruit, although there is some green apricot amongst it all, and then a refreshing but unusual streak of sorrel. Well made wine.

Try with grilled red mullet fillets, roast asparagus with feta or a vegetable risotto.
