Owner of 25 ha in the 10 most beautiful Beaune Premiers Crus, Domaine Chanson is rightly considered as one of the Premiers Crus specialists in Beaune.  They have a rich history dating back over 250 years and are still expanding today with the restoration of their historic winery and new vineyards in the Côte Chalonnaise.

45 ha owned exclusively in Premiers and Grands Crus, in the heart of Burgundy, in the most beautiful villages of Côte de Beaune : Santenay, Chassagne Montrachet, Puligny Montrachet, Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pernand Vergelesses and Corton.

Vineyard and Winery

The chardonnay grapes for this wine are grown on soils with a mix of clay and limestone in the Côte Chalonnaise, to the South of Côte de Beaune, this Premier Cru "terroir" of Montagny displays the fruit and mineral qualities of Chardonnay. The 2018 vintage followed a rainy winter, but spring started with very a warm episode in April followed by very cold températures in May. The warm weather settled down early June. The summer was punctuated by several heat waves which engendered a lack of water, compensated by the presence of clay in many plots. The harvest started end of August, in outstanding conditions with grapes fully ripe and healthy. The white wines are precise with a beautiful fruit combination.
