Named for the single cell fossils that created the unique soils in Jerez 5 million years ago, Diatomists are a new producer on the scene. They reject the big company approach to sherry that creates homogenous blends. Instead, Diatomists wines are tiny quantities, either single vineyard or single barrel selections, that truly express the terroir of the region. The wines are more expressive, fruitier and more exciting than many other sherries. In fact, you might say these are life changing wines – sherry will never be the same after tasting these!
