Diez Siglos Barrel Fermented Verdejo is fermented for eight months in new French oak barrels. The conditions need to be perfect for Diez Siglos to make this wine so it is not made every year, only in the best harvest years. It is therefore a limited edition and definitely worth getting your hands on! (See below for Decanter Magazine Review)
Straw yellow in colour with steely iridescence, clarity and brightness in the glass. The nose is spicy, with aromas of hay and minerals and a touch of exceedingly well integrated wood. On the palate it has intensity and elegance with a good balance between fruit and wood flowing into a long finish.
Diez Siglos Barrel Fermented Verdejo is perfect for a variety of starters especially shellfish based. Try it with fish courses, white meats, Iberian pork and foie gras.

Diez Siglos, Barrel Fermented, Rueda 2020
Gold, 95 points
A very intense wine with magnificent nutty, herbaceous, creamy and spicy oak aromas, plus a whiff of lanolin. The palate is rounded and broad. Lots going on here with a very long, complex finish. Glorious, gastronomic stuff! You could easily lock it away for some time too.
