The 2020 Bodegas Felix Callejo, El Lebrero made from the local Albillo Mayor grape smells wonderfully of orchard and citrus fruits with a saline touch.  As it opens up there is further interaction of peach, nectarine, quince and pear.  The citrus comes through as Grapefruit and lemon zest providing a tart freshness.  Salted and smoked almonds add an extra special something to this complex delight.

On the palate it shows power with balanced acidity.  The ripe aromatic fruit works wonders intertwined with the minerality.  The finish extends graciously with salted  caramel accompanying much of what has already been experienced.

Bodegas Felix Callejo, El Lebrero pairs superbly with rich seafood dishes.  Try it with lobster, classic paella.  Chicken, Veal or Pork Saltimbocca.  A seafood risotto sounds ideal with this stunning wine.
