Gremillet Blancs de Noirs NV is a rich and elegant champagne. It features a fine mousse and toasty yeast aromas, complemented by fuller fruit and structure than the Brut Selection. Enjoy its classic baked biscuit flavours and fresh burst of acidity on the finish. Perfect for light bites, simple fish dishes, and stronger-flavoured fish such as mackerel or smoked salmon, along with creamy or wine-based sauces and ideal for small parties.

Critic Review

Decanter Magazine: 90Pts

"Discreet stone-fruit aromas lead to a palate with a velvety weight, impressive natural sweetness, a developing complexity of honey and baked apple, and a firmly constructed finish - power, poise and potential in equal measure."
Michael Edwards, Simon Field MW, Tim Hall

About the Producer

The vineyards, situated in the southern reaches of Troyes, achieve greater ripeness which leads to richer fruit and classic baked biscuit flavours mixed with characteristic toasty, yeast overtones. Only the first, lightest pressings are used, as is usual for fine Champagne. Classic slow second fermentation in bottle is followed by maturation on its lees for two and a half years before being disgorged. All Gremillet Champagnes undergo malolactic fermentation. This family owned and run Champagne house is HVE 3 certified, and as much as possible it restricts its use of chemicals in the vineyards. One of its cuvées is certified organic by ECOCERT and hopefully this is the start of a bigger process.
