Helmsman Chardonnay is a very well made Chardonnay from the Central Ranges of South Eastern Australia.  It exhibits ripe stone fruit of peach, tropical melon and fig and  features delightful subtle citrus flavours, all beautifully balanced by a not-overpowering toasty oak.

You can enjoy the Helmsman Chardonnay on its own or it works well with grilled or roasted white meats, a wide variety of seafood dishes or pizza, pasta, salads and can also be taken chilled on summer picnics.

Vineyard and Winery

With losses due to smoke or fire damage in some areas, yields were low, but of the regions unaffected the quality of the grapes was high.

The fermentation takes place partially in tanks and oak barrels, which enables the oak to play a supporting role without overpowering the delicate fruit character
