The whisky is matured exclusively in the shoreline warehouses of Ardhasaig overlooking the Atlantic and just a few short miles from the distillery. With the island’s high humidity and low temperature fluctuation, it’s one of the most unique maturation environments in the world. Our whisky is produced using local water which flows over 3-billion-year-old Gneiss rocks, resulting in the softest source waters in Scotland.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eOn the nose, there’s an immediate warmth: butterscotch and iced cherry Bakewell tart, like a pastry shop on a cold morning. The palate brings rich, buttery caramels and sweet clove and ginger, balanced by the dry, flinty character that’s so typical of Isle of Harris spirit.
