One of the very first whiskies bottled by Mossburn Distillers was a Batch Strength Teaninich (No. 4) which they felt was the best way to retain its naturally linseed-like oily character.
Their No. 32 is a return to this style, a Batch Strength Teaninich, but this time with an added extra dimension of a red wine finish which not only provides a beautiful colouring but red fruit nuances.
Mossburn Vintage Cask No. 32 Teaninich 2009 Red Wine Cask Finish features a precise bouquet of hay and subtle graininess, accompanied by toast, raspberry jam and cream aromas. The palate is complex, offering more red fruit notes intertwined with malted cereal and leading to an excellent long finish.
This select release has been bottled at cask strength, without any colouring or chill filtration, to showcase the purest expression of the Single Malt's character.
