The Federalist 1776 Cabernet Sauvignon features the same influential man as the hundred dollar bill.  Benjamin Franklin was a wine lover, an author, a politician, a scientist, an inventor, and a diplomat.  Loving wine is a very fine trait though and surely stands above his other achievements.

This is a rich, full-bodied wine with flavours of black cherry and cassis backed up by well integrated oak.  After 15 months in oak (1/3 new oak) there is a delightful cinnamon background that adds character, complexity and smoothness.
