The Federalist Chardonnay is the only white in The Federalist portfolio but you only need one when it is this good. It boasts a sizable oak backbone with the use of two types of barrel. There is spice coming from the Hungarian Oak and sweeter notes from the American Oak. These balance nicely with the citrus and orchard fruit of the chardonnay grapes and the wine offers a long, smooth finish. The Federalist Chardonnay stands tall and proud just like Lady Liberty on the label.
Fresh and spicy. Pairs effortlessly with fresh fish, a wide variety of Chicken dishes and with vegetarian dishes and salads as well.

Malolactic fermentations occur post-primary fermentation. The lees are stirred through malolactic fermentation, and the wine is aged sur lie until blending.
35% new Oak is primarily American and Hungarian oak, with a little bit of French. The Hungarian oak mimics French with spicy character and the American rounds it out with a sweeter finish
