The Ribolla grapes for Vidussi Collio Ribolla Gialla are grown in Collio, in the North East Italian region of Friuli, specifically in the Podere di Spessa area. In the cooler temperatures of the morning the grapes are harvested with the lower temperatures meaning the grapes retain that freshness and minerality. They are speedily delivered to the winery where they are pressed gently to release only the finest juice, this is followed by fermentation in stainless steel.
The resulting wine is fresh and aromatic with notes of guava, mandarin and hints of white spice. Bright lemon citrus and peach characters on the palate, which is textural, and held together by the racy acidity and mineral notes typical of the Ribolla grape.
Vidussi Collio Ribolla Gialla is a great wine to enjoy with shellfish and grilled fish dishes.
