Planteray Vintage Panama Rum 2010 offers a complex bouquet of fresh coconut, dill, plum, nectarine, citrus, almond, cinnamon, vanilla, honey, and sesame. On the palate, it presents a vibrant interplay of pear, berries, orange, figs, complemented by butterscotch, subtle coffee, pepper, and custard notes. The finish is long and dry, unveiling layers of coconut, banana, tobacco, diverse spices, chocolate, and licorice.

About the Producer

Maison Ferrand Owner and Master Distiller, Alexandre Gabriel works closely with local distilleries crafting the rums, where they are left to age in warm Caribbean cellars for the initial part of their life. During the secondary process, the rums are exported to Cognac where they undergo a series of age old Cognac making techniques. This centuries old application is known by the French as 'elevage' and the process used is unique to Planteray. Vibrant, full flavoured Caribbean rums, finished with French finesse - which one will you fall in love with?

Passionate, curious, refined taste for beauty, Alexandre Gabriel is a tireless entrepreneur in search of perfection. An artisan businessman, he delivers the best product by implementing the most advanced and precise production methods. He knows that a great cognac, a superior rum, is above all a powerful emotion to be shared. Alexandre Gabriel applies the discipline and passion of ancient craftsmen, artisans, and goldsmiths to his rum and cognac.

In 1989 Alexander Gabriel discovers Maison Ferrand, one of the oldest spirit brands in the Cognac region. The reputation of the House is indisputable but sales are lagging. An immediate crush grabs hold and Alexandre Gabriel dives in with exuberance to the details and craft of Cognac production.
