About the Producer

Douglas Laing's Provenance Single Cask Single Malts offer an exceptional taste of the hugely varied and fascinating work of Scotland’s Whisky regions. For Provenance, they bottle extraordinary Single Cask Single Malts from a vast range of Scotland’s Whisky Distilleries. Each bottling is offered to you “as natural as it gets” – at 46% alcohol strength or higher, and without colouring or chill-filtration. Packed with extraordinary flavour, the Exceptional Single Cask Whiskies exemplify the 'As Natural As It Gets' Philosophy by serving a rich reward for those looking to savour a dram straight from the cask.

Established in 1948, Douglas Laing is a proudly independent, family owned Scotch Whisky business in its third generation. Over 70 years of heritage have helped to refine their processes, and deliver Whisky that is consistently exceptional in its offering.

Abiding to the philosophy of presenting Whisky as the Distiller intended, nothing is added and nothing is taken away from the spirit, enabling Whisky lovers around the world to come as close as they possibly can to sampling a dram straight from the Cask.

They know what they are doing

I am not an expert, but I know what I like. I have come to the conclusion that Whisky producers of Douglas Laing's Provenance Single Cask Single Malt Whiskies know what they are doing, and they are able to produce a quality of whisky that is not possible with large commercial distillers. I have thoroughly enjoyed this offering which is smooth and refined. Of course, you could buy a top premium whisky that was better- but you would have to pay double the price of this nectar.
