From the Beaujolais region, the most southerly of the Burgundian vineyards, Côte du Py Morgon is crafted from the indigenous Gamay grape. Its varied terroir on the gently rolling hills renders it a wine of distinct character and complexity. Morgon is a full-bodied yet rustic style, showing rich, savoury fruits and supple tannins. Ideal for accompanying rich, meaty game dishes. Dark ripe cherry aromas backed up with savoury florals (iris, peony, violets). Plump and up-front, the underlying tannins provide a bit of grip but are beautifully integrated to give a lovely finesse on the finish.
