Appreciation of Alto del Carmen Etiqueta Negra Pisco begins with the striking crimson colour and impressive legs that linger beautifully in the glass. On the nose, there is an inviting blend of cranberries and red fruits layered with citric and spice notes. The palate reveals complexity and fruitiness with a delightful boozy tingle, backed by a strong body and outstanding flavour that persists elegantly. It finishes with a soft, refined yet noticable sourness. At its best sipped neat or with an ice cube this Pisco is versatile and shines in cocktails. Try it as the berry-sour foundation in a Spritz with plenty of ice, or pair it with sparkling wine, ginger ale, or tonic and a slice of orange to enhance its citric character.

This is a premium Chilean pisco from Alto del Carmen, bottled at 40% ABV. It is crafted for sipping or use in cocktails. It is made from Moscatel Rosada and Moscatel de Alejandría grapes, grown in the Huasco/Elqui valleys in northern Chile. Double-distilled and aged for at least 2 years (and sometimes up to 3 years) in American oak barrels (and in some cases, French oak).

About the Producer

At Alto del Carmen, they bottle the essence of the Andes Mountains to create a pisco unlike any other. Born in the heart of the Huasco Valley—Chile’s northernmost pisco-producing region—this craft is shaped by nature’s purity, tradition, and innovation.

Founded in the shadow of the majestic Carmen Alto mountain, Alto del Carmen draws its name and inspiration from the breathtaking surrounding landscapes. Alto del Carmen are proud to uphold the legacy of Chilean pisco, a tradition rooted in centuries of viticulture and distillation, yet driven by a spirit of evolution.

Only Muscat grapes—specifically the Alexandria and Pink varieties—grown in the high-altitude vineyards of the Huasco Valley are used for production. Thanks to the region’s intense sunlight, pure waters, and dramatic diurnal temperature shifts, the grapes develop the ideal aroma and sweetness for premium pisco production.
