This 2010 Auchentoshan Cask #700968 from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s Odyssey 'Crafted in Cask' series greets you with vibrant raspberry notes dusted lightly in confectioners' sugar, followed by inviting aromas of cherry and marzipan (freshly baked cherry bakewell tarts). Strawberry accents mingle with a gentle hint of Japanese plum wine, deepening the fruity sweetness lent by the Pomerol cask. On the palate, the whisky offers a rich, oily texture with a satisfying viscosity. Juicy red fruit sweetness meets a firm yet refined tannic presence, adding balance and structure. Notes of ripe cherry and soft marzipan continue through, accented by gentle oak and a pleasantly subtle dryness on the finish.
One of only 174 bottles from a single cask.
