A playful yet serious rosé bursting with wild strawberry, red grapefruit, and raspberry. The palate is crisp and dry, with a chalky mineral backbone and savoury herbal nuances that give complexity and length. Perfect with grilled prawns, Niçoise salad, or Provençal vegetable tarts. Its freshness and minerality also make it a brilliant companion to sushi or goat’s cheese crostini.
About the Producer
Château Picoron is a Bordeaux estate with a rebellious edge, redefining what Merlot can be. Under the creative direction of Camille and her team, the winery experiments fearlessly — crafting everything from crisp whites and delicate rosés to structured, cellar-worthy reds. Their philosophy is rooted in curiosity and craftsmanship: small-scale, hands-on winemaking that embraces both tradition and innovation. Each bottle is a thoughtful exploration of Merlot’s versatility, made for drinkers who seek character and surprise rather than convention.
Vineyard and Winery
Grown on clay-limestone soils in the heart of Castillon, where the cooling influence of Atlantic breezes and well-drained slopes shape fruit of finesse and freshness. The terroir’s natural acidity and balanced ripening conditions are key to this rosé’s precise, expressive profile.
Harvested early to capture vibrant acidity, the grapes are gently pressed to achieve a pale hue. Fermentation occurs at cool temperatures in stainless steel, preserving aromatics and delicacy. A short period on fine lees builds subtle texture and a savoury finish.
