Convite Pechuga is made from Espadin agaves with a maturity of 8+ years. Pechuga is a special recipe passed down for generations in Oaxaca made for special celebrations. Local fruits, herbs, spices and turkey breast are added to the second distillation. As the mezcal cooks, the vapors mingle with the ingredients so their flavour is instilled into the finished spirit. The result is notes of sweet spices and tropical fruits, reminiscent of a fruit punch.
About the Producer
Convite Mezcal is produced in Mexico, specifically in the state of Oaxaca, known for its rich mezcal-making tradition and is one of the primary regions where high-quality mezcal is produced.
Mezcal is made from the heart of the agave plant known as the “piña.” The piñas are harvested and roasted in underground pits filled with hot rocks and covered with earth, which gives mezcal its distinct smoky flavour. After roasting, the piñas are crushed, fermented, and distilled to produce mezcal.
Convite Mezcal is known for its commitment to traditional and sustainable production methods. They often emphasise their dedication to respecting the environment and supporting local communities involved in production.
