About the Producer

At Château Picoron the potential of the great grape of Merlot is being explored. This is the grape grown in the plots surrounding the Château. They do not blend anything else into their wines and each style in their range is produced from single plot vines, from their 4.5ha vineyard. These provide an honest expression of the terroir on the famous St Emilion clay and limestone ridge.

All Château Picoron wines are made following the Ouvipo philosophy (Ouvroir de Vins Potentiels). Made honoring natural and self-imposed constraints. The constraints of the region, Bordeaux, its varietals and the changing climate are the catalyst for these wonderful creations.
