About the Distillery and Process

Paul and Malcolm the creators of the Citrologist Gins met in 1979 during their first days as students at Aberdeen University and have remained the best of friends ever since. After long and successful careers in medicine and academia, a chance 60th birthday present from Malcolm to Paul of a gin making experience sparked a new interest in Paul that has since become a passion for them both.

Using high quality botanicals and only fresh citrus, Paul's skills as a 'gin alchemist' has resulted in a spectacular range of premium citrus and dry gins. For Malcolm, establishing The Wildings Distillery with Paul has had the added poignancy of resurrecting a family tradition of distilling in the Highlands.

Now, gin making has become a new family tradition for both Paul's and Malcolm's families with wives, daughters and sons all contributing to the making of The Citrologist.
