About the Producer
The Boutinot winemaking team has been cultivating connections in Chile for two decades. They source fruit and wine from the Central Valleys with the help of family growers who prioritise quality. Striving for freshness and purity, winemaker Guillaume Letang tours the vineyards each vintage to craft the purest expression of Chile's terroirs.
Vineyard and Winery
Coming from a block of fruit in the Casablanca Valley, the Pinot Noir grapes benefit from alluvial soils, a long ripening season and optimum diurnal temperature variations. Due to its proximity to the cooling influences of the Pacific Ocean it is ideal for the production of exquisite Pinot Noir. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a low fermentation temperatures is used to avoid hard extraction. There grapes are fragile so there is lots of gentle pumping over help to avoid bad tannins. The wine is aged for 9 months in French oak.
