Vega, star of the constellation of lyra, watches over the valleys of Alicante from the heights. Its light illuminates them and gives them the necessary strength and vigour to produce high quality wines.
The Bodegas Alejandro Vega Cuyar Merseguera is a white wine with a light straw colour. On the nose, it offers subtle herbal and fruity aromas. Its balance is enhanced by excellent refreshing acidity, making it an ideal wine for pairing with a variety of dishes, especially seafood Tapas.
Vineyard and Winery
Merseguera is a native white grape. This variety has great drought and temperature resistance, allowing it to grow in hot places like the Alicante Region The ongoing warmth of the area means harvest can be later in the season for maximum flavour extraction. The round yellowish-green berries provide a delicious flavour when fully ripe and in the right hands of a skilled winemaker, as is the case here.
Vineyards planted in natural "vaso" system. Located at an altitude of 600m with soils poor in organic matter.
In September with already ripe grapes, very clean musts are obtained, fermenting at 16 degrees, with native yeasts.
