Badachro Bad na h-Achlaise Tuscan Oak is an exquisite single malt Scotch. Vatted between two carefully selected casks and finished in Tuscan red wine casks, it has a distinct flavour and a beautiful blush hue. Imbued with a light peatiness, a sip of this North West Highlander feels like a warm embrace from an old friend.

The marriage of peated and un-peated spirit produces a fine balanced expression of the rugged yet romantic north west Highlands. This stunning single malt whisky is a delight to the senses with the light aroma of smoke infused with lemongrass and fresh hay, that gives way to ripe peach and candied apricot. On the palate this malt Scotch offers initial hints of red berries sprinkled with peat, before coming to rest on flavours of warmed oats and cream blended with fresh fruits and hints of oak.

About the Producer

Gordon and Vanessa met at the Badachro Inn but before the created a distillery they travelled the world. Through Gordon’s advertising work, they experienced the excitement and vibrancy of city life in the Middle East, London, and Edinburgh. But, as their family grew, they were ready to realise their dream of moving home to the mountains, clean waters and star-studded night sky of Badachro.

Fuelled by a shared passion for living a simpler, more peaceful way of life, they set-up their dream-home and thriving B&B, Aird Hill, where they settled on building a Highland-inspired, sustainable distilling business.

Gordon soon completed his formal training in distilling, gaining valuable insight and work experience at a distillery in Perthshire. With their hospitality and advertising backgrounds, combined with Vanessa’s previous work in horticulture and study of botanicals, Badachro Distillery was born.
