The nose of this Berry Bros. & Rudd Odyssey 'Crafted in Cask' 2009 Blair Athol Cask #307592 Single Malt Scotch Whisky opens with powerful Pedro Ximenez intensity, immediately enveloping the senses with dark fruits, raisins and toasted nuts. Figs and dates meld with a vibrant note of raspberry, underpinned by a delicate hint of liquorice and gentle herbal tones. On the palate, a pleasing tannic character complements the rich wave of dark fruits and worn leather, offering a chewy, sticky-sweet syrup quality. The experience deepens with chocolate-covered raisins and a warm, satisfying finish that lingers with a touch of earthiness and sweet spice.
One of only 253 bottles from a single cask.
