Blair Athol’s malty heft melds beautifully with the Margaux cask, producing a dram that's both luscious and complex. The nose opens with blackcurrant wine gums and a soft, creamy sweetness reminiscent of milk bottle sweets. White chocolate and a whisper of orange zest add a gentle brightness, while an undercurrent of roasted malt and cassis provide depth. The palate is sweet and unctuous, delivering velvety waves of dark fruit coulis, balanced by gentle herbal notes. The finish is long and satisfying, with echoes of rich malt, subtle green notes, and a final flourish of red berries.
One of only 290 bottles from a single cask.
