Kaiken Clásico Malbec is deep purple in colour. On the nose there are aromas of red fruits such as plums and blackberries, complemented by notes of chocolate and tobacco. On the palate this wine displays extraordinary balance, freshness and soft tannins.
While this typically works tremendously with steak (especially chargrilled) and other red meat dishes, this wine is also perfect for cheese and charcuterie boards.
Kaiken Clásico Malbec is also currently available by the glass in The Wine Press, Dundee's finest Wine Bar.

About the region and producer
The Kaiken Clásico Malbec is made from fruit grown in the Agrelo region, 1050 metres above sea level.
Kaikenes are wild geese, native to Patagonia, that fly across the Andes between Chile and Argentina. Montes, the Chilean winery that produces Kaiken Clásico Malbec, also crossed the Andes to set up in Mendoza. Their vineyards are situated in the heart of Mendoza and further to the south in the Uco Valley, where many of the premium producers are now sourcing their fruit.
Lovely smooth taste at a decent price
