EuanI have worked between hospitality and drinks retailing for the majority of my adult life, starting many years ago with an internship near Atlanta, Georgia at a golf resort and winery. Returning to Scotland I joined Threshers working in their Blairgowrie and St Andrews branches for a few years before trying Vineyard and Winery work in Central Otago, New Zealand. Once again returning to Scotland I was engaged in restaurant and bar work at arguably the world's most famous golf clubhouse. Then in 2021 I was delighted to have the opportunity to join Aitken's in the city of my birth.

Fun Fact:
In Georgia my boss was a distant relative of Doc Holliday and his boss was the grandson of Gene Sarazen.

Favourite non-wine drink:
Depends on the time of day. Until midday it is coffee, beyond that it's beer but I'd rather drink water than lager.

Best Wine Memory:
Living in a tent on the vineyard in New Zealand. I paid my rent in beer.

Top Tips for Customers:
Coming to our regular wines and spirits tastings is a great way to learn about the products on our shelves. We often have winemakers speaking at these events and hearing their passion for what they do is inspiring.

Favourite Grape:
Impossible to say. If pushed, off-dry Riesling and cool-climate Syrah.
