This is a single malt whisky that is one step beyond the conventional, mainstream offerings and a more interesting choice than the classic malts commonly available.
Scented with spiced and honeyed plump fruits. Syrupy, with lots of vanilla and fudge and just a whisper of smoke on the finish.
About the Producer
Aberfeldy Distillery is nestled within a lush valley in the foothills of the Centrals Highlands of Scotland, in the village of Aberfeldy and a stone’s throw from the birthplace of the founder, John Dewar.
The pool of the water god, The Pitilie Burn is their water source. It is the lifeline of the distiller - pure and fresh, the burn is known to contain deposits of alluvial gold.
Scottish malted barley and longer fermentation times – which create more flavour-bearing esters – trigger the hallmark honey notes of Aberfeldy Single Malt. It is then slowly distilled in Alembic copper pot stills and aged to perfection in the finest oak casks – a combination of barrels, hogsheads and butts.
