Asbach Uralt Original is a 3 year old brandy of uncompromising quality, renowned for its smooth taste and exceptional character since 1892. Crafted with select base wines and matured over four to five times the legal requirement, it is a sophisticated option for any occasion.  The ageing takes place first in Limousin oak barrels, then later in German oak barrels.

About the Producer

Hugo Asbach was born in 1868 in Cologne and completed his apprenticeship in France, where he gained experience in distilling wine. When he returned to Germany in 1892, he established his own wine distillery in Rüdesheim am Rhein. After his passing, his sons continued the legacy, resulting in a product that is now enjoyed in more than 50 countries. The spirit of the wine, as Hugo Asbach himself stated, is encapsulated in the slogan "Im Asbach." Asbach was also a pioneering figure in advertising and even utilised the relatively new medium of television. The label on the bottle is a replica of the original document where Hugo Asbach wrote the recipe in 1892. The lion in the seal represents the Asbach family's heraldic animal and symbolises the founder's courage, as well as the strength and power of their product.
