Clairet de Bordeaux, Château Grand Tuillac shows a bright cherry-red hue, deeper than a rosé, with an inviting nose of fresh raspberry, redcurrant, and wild strawberry, lifted by hints of blood orange, soft florals, and a touch of spice. The palate is juicy and vibrant, offering crunchy red berry flavours balanced by refreshing acidity and a light tannic grip that gives it more structure than a typical rosé, leading to a clean, lively finish with subtle spice and mineral freshness. About the Producer

In 1992, two years after their wedding, Sophie and Laurent Poitevin decided to take over the destiny of Château Grand Bert and Château Grand Tuillac. The two properties were handed-down from Sophie’s parents and Laurent’s parents in law, Philippe and Françoise Lavigne. Along with the properties, knowledge was also handed-down. Philippe Lavigne passed on all his know-how to Sophie and Laurent to uphold the family expertise. Over the course of the last 32 years Sophie and Laurent have kept on perfecting the wine fabrication and the management of the family business.

Vineyard and Winery

Château Grand Tuillac is a seventh-generation family winery based on the right bank of Bordeaux, in Castillon, Côtes de Bordeaux. A Bordeaux speciality, Clairet is a deep-coloured rosé with tannin and structure. This example is 100% Merlot which is fermented on skins for 12 hours.
