A challenging review as it’s like marmite. You either love it or not so much. However, it is obvious that it’s come from quality cask with a definite citrus dark fruit to both the nose and palate. There is, in my opinion vanilla and dark chocolate note. On the finish there is bacon spice on the follow through. I think 40ABV has taken out the centre or mid palate to be honest and may have benefited if 43 ABV or above. On saying that it is a very pleasant dram.
