I am not a gin buff having been brought up with "It's got to be Gordons" (? showing my age?) but do enjoy a G & T at the end of the week before my evening meal. To a certain extent, all these botanicals etc go right over my head/palate. I am sure in time the subtleties and nuances will become more evident to me.
Certainly, Speyside is the right place to find junipers. I found this gin to be straightforward and enjoyable to drink, but I was unable to detect anything that I would call distinctive to set it apart from others. But then I am a self-confessed novice. I am prepared to be educated though!
