This new expression of Glencadam pays homage to the relationship between Glencadam Distillery and the famous sherry region of Spain, Jerez in Andalucia.

Master Distiller Robert Fleming, carefully chose the very best sherry butts from the ancient dunnage warehouses at Glencadam to create Reserva Andalucia. Once married together with bourbon casks, it was finished in Oloroso sherry butts from Andalucia.

The result is a rich and sherry-forward expression, where the famous fruitiness of the Glencadam spirit is balanced with sultana and sweet-spice notes, that come from the Oloroso cask maturation.

Glencadam Reserva Andalucia is a golden barley-coloured whisky made from fresh and ripe fruits. Aromas of soft nougat, oaky vanilla and fudge gives way to a creamy palate of sultanas, orchard fruits and toffee apple. The finish is long and smooth with notes of honey, muscovado sugar and green tea.

About the Producer

Glencadam Distillery was built in 1825, within the Royal Burgh of Brechin, where heritage, tradition and hand crafting combine to create an elegant East Highland Single Malt.

Glencadam is located in the ancient city of Brechin, in the Eastern Highlands of Scotland. In 2021, a working water wheel was re-installed in the heart of Glencadam Distillery, a nod back to how the distillery was powered back in 1825.

Unusually, Glencadam’s stills have lyne arms that run upwards at an angle of 15 degrees, this encourages significant reflux which helps to produce a single malt which is characterised by its tropical and orchard fruit flavours.

All their age statement whiskies are bottled at 46% and are neither chill filtered nor coloured to retain the whisky's natural characteristics.
