The La Boheme range are refined expressions inspired by Yarra Valley native, Dame Nellie Melba’s operatic legacy. The Interlude Pinot Noir is an elegant medium-bodied red offering vibrant aromas of red and dark fruits, complemented by delicate notes of violets and subtle spice. The gentle, supple texture delivers sophistication and balance, making it both a serious and exceedingly approachable wine. Ideal for pairing with white meat dishes, Roast Pork, Chicken or Duck. It's also a lovely wine with a cheese board especially one laden with hard cheeses - Parmesan, Romano or Vintage Gouda.

About the Producer

The De Bortoli family story is one of determination and triumph that started 90 years ago and is now told, generations later, across Australia.

Their heritage encompasses the universal story of immigrants making good in an adopted land, the rise and rise of the Australian wine industry and the tale of a hardworking and innovative family which considers good wine, good food and good friends to be among the true pleasures in life.

Today, as a fourth generation enters the family business, De Bortoli is amongst the top wine producers in Australia with vineyards spanning six premium wine regions.

Vineyard and Winery

2021 was a cool season with timely rainfall. Lovely ripening conditions during autumn, near perfect for Pinot Noir.

A combination of whole berry and whole bunch in open fermenters and traditional stainless vats. 10-15 days of maceration and fermentation. Pressed, settled overnight and then filled to barrel and allowed to mature for 8 months at 16°C in 225L and 500L French oak casks.
