Drawing inspiration from their local area, the owners of Billington's legendary Deli researched what ingredients and botanicals grew in their immediate area of Lenzie and the wider East Dunbartonshire region, that could feature in Lenzie Gin. They were delighted to discover that cranberries and bilberries grew locally and so they are used in the distillation process, giving the gin its sweet, yet tart berry elements.
