Salt and a leathery smokiness come to the fore in a maritime combination, like a Harbourmaster's Jacket. That salty smokiness returns on the nose providing a deeply satisfying ending.

A great entry-level offering from Longrow perfect for Islay fans looking for something a bit different.

About the Producer

Named after another lost distillery of Campbeltown (which once operated right next door to Springbank and whose warehouse now houses the bottling hall), Longrow was first produced in 1973 to provide a peaty, oily and robust component to a blend being created at the time. More heavily peated and double distilled, it has been a staple in the production calendar since the 1990s.

Springbank was established in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell’s illicit still.

The distillery is now in the hands of the current Chairman, Hedley G. Wright, Mitchell’s great, great grandson – the fifth generation of the Mitchell family to own and manage Springbank.

Springbank use traditional production methods and are involved in each and every step of the whisky making process – meaning their whisky is arguably the most handmade in Scotland. The feel they have unrivalled control over the quality of the whisky they produce.

Passion and skill are poured into every last drop during production; ensuring whisky drinkers consistently enjoy the tastes and characteristics that have become synonymous with Springbank, Hazelburn and Longrow, the three distinct single malts made at this distillery.
