About the Producer

Domaine Méry Melrose is an authentic and traditional Independent producer of Organic Cognac, Pineau des Charentes and Wine. Established by François Méry and Janis Melrose to elaborate the production from their respective vineyards. The vineyards are cultivated organically, and can be found in the Grande Champagne, Premier Cru of Cognac, in the village of Salles d’Angles.

genuine classic Pineau

I bought this to serve a visiting friend, who is a Francophile and had a second home in Charente. This bottle certainly ticked all the boxes for her, and she drank nothing else all evening.
Not being familiar with this genre of beverage, I do not feel qualified to judge. I certainly found it pleasant enough and can see how it might be some folk's go to tipple. Reminiscent of a medium sherry with hint of dryness.
