Miopasso Pinot Grigio has an intense bouquet of orange blossoms, tropical and citrus fruits and white pepper. This wine has a stunning straw yellow colour to it. On the palate it is medium bodied and perfectly balanced, supple and refreshing. This versatile wine is perfect as an aperitif or pair it with plates of cured meats, delicately flavoured cheeses, seafood and white meats.
About the Producer
The winemaker for this Miopasso Pinot Grigio is Stefano Chioccioli who comes from a team of specialist operators, who are passionate about what they do. Known as 'The Wine People', they are a group of professionals united in their love of the world of wine, for sustainability and for uncompromising quality.
Vineyard and Winery
The vineyard is located around the Trapani area of western Sicily. The grapes are picked by hand in mid-August, when they have the perfect balance of acidity. Then they are destemmed and very gently pressed in a pneumatic press. Prior to fermentation the juice is chilled to allow a natural separation of sediment and juice. After racking, selected yeasts are added to initiate the alcoholic fermentation. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled conditions of 18°C in stainless steel tanks for approximately 10-15 days.
