Founded in 1917 in the Vinho Verde region, Calçada Wines is one of the oldest producers in the region focused especially on the production of still white and rosé wines and sparkling wines and is now the 3rd generation of the family to lead the business. In addition to producing high quality wines, Calçada brand is also synonymous with the art of hospitality - Casa da Calçada is a XVI palace converted into a luxurious hotel - it is a reference point in quality hospitality and within the property they still proudly have what is probably the oldest vineyard in the region.

It is marked by notes of citrus fruits, white fruits, stone fruits, such as peaches, as well as floral, smoked and mineral touches.

From the oldest vines of a plot planted in 1917 next to Casa da Calçada, this elegant, fresh and complex wine is born. The Quinta da Calçada Vinhas Velhas is the result of natural resitance of these centuries-old vines.
The grapes were destemmed and fermented at a controlled temperature. The wine aged for eight months in French oak barrels.
