San Fiorenzo Bolgheri has aromas of ripe black fruits and plum compote with lifted minty notes. The palate is rich and structured with layers of bramble and black cherry fruit balanced by savoury, cedar and capsicum notes, firm tannins and a twist of sour cherry acidity on the finish.
Drink with ravioli and meat ragu, braised duck breast or grilled lamb chops.

As a Tuscan to the bone woman, living in Scotland, I can only say that it warmed up my hearth. Delicious and proper, and I felt home, for one evening. Drank in front of a fire place, in a cold Sunday evening, I was dreaming of hills and read meat, as in Tuscany. It made me think of the poet Carducci, and I then recited one of his poems (that mentions wine and vineyards) to my partner. So, collateral effects: potential need to romanticise :).
