SPEY Trutina Single Malt Whisky displays a pale gold appearance with a light, inviting nose. The initial savoury top-note sits gracefully over a fruity base of white grapes, apple blossom, and lychees in syrup, with developing floral notes and a hint of boiled sweets. On the palate, the light texture opens with sweetness before crisp acidity takes over, revealing notes of scented sweets and a lingering white chocolate finish. An elegant expression that balances complexity with refinement. This well-balanced single malt from the SPEY range was first released in late 2016, matured in bourbon casks, and limited to 18,000 bottles. Trutina—Latin for honest and pure—captures the essence of this distinguished whisky.

About the Producer

In 1770 John and Robert Harvey started their whisky journey - founding and operating the Yorker (Yoker) and Dundashill distilleries in Glasgow.

Then in 1881 future generations of the family established Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay (John, Robert and William Harvey) which was run by William Harvey until a fire in 1934 and his death in 1936.

In 2012, John Harvey McDonough (11th Generation) realised his grandfather’s dream of the family returning to distilling, when Harvey’s bought Speyside Distillery Company Limited, operating the beautiful Speyside Distillery.

The acquisition will safe-guard the supply of SPEY Whisky, this truly exquisite single malt, for generations to come.
