Expertly crafted in Scotland, Tamnavulin Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Sherry Cask boasts a smooth, amber gold colour. Its rich nose features notes of vanilla, caramel, and banana, rounded out by sweet milk chocolate and a touch of fresh ginger. On the palate, layers of flavours including maple syrup, raisin, and orange blend together with hints of apricot and melon.
This whisky starts life in American ex-bourbon casks, adding smoothness to the sweet, fruity spirit. Then, when the time is right, the whisky is finished in selected seasoned sherry casks from respected cooperages in Southern Spain.
About the Producer
Since 1966 Tamnavulin Distillery has been in the heart of the world’s most famous whisky-making region – Speyside. The purpose-built distillery is looked after by a passionate and dedicated team of expert whisky makers, balancing tradition and modernity to create a signature Speyside single malt whisky. The doors closed between 1995 and 2000 due to struggles across the Whisky Industry. In 2010 the decision was made to change the shape of the stills to make a whisky that would take better to wine cask maturation and their range now features a Red Wine Cask series as well as Sherry Cask and more recently a Port Cask has been added to their portfolio.
