The Accomplice Chardonnay is a soft, fresh & fruity dry white. Lifted aromas of ripe peach and nectarine complemented with decent lick of oak. The palate is soft with a creamy vanilla texture with the most gentle of acid nuances for a very long finish. Some serious bang for your buck!

About the Producer

The De Bortoli family story is one of determination and triumph that started 90 years ago and is now told, generations later, across Australia.

Their heritage encompasses the universal story of immigrants making good in an adopted land, the rise and rise of the Australian wine industry and the tale of a hardworking and innovative family who considers good wine, good food and good friends to be among the true pleasures in life.

Today, as a fourth generation enters the family business, De Bortoli is amongst the top wine producers in Australia with vineyards across six premium wine regions.

Vineyard and Winery

Following a dry winter it was late spring and early summer rains that gave the vines the impetus for growth with average yields across the white varieties. We were able to begin harvest on 21st January. With the lower crops the fruit ripened quite quickly and cleanly.

A large percentage of juice was handled oxidatively. This develops a richer and riper stone fruit spectrum in the resultant wine. Fermentation on oak allows for quicker and greater integration between the fruit and oak for a harmonious balance. Some parcels go through malolactic fermentation, further softening the acid profile. The wines are left on light primary and secondary lees to add creaminess and weight.
