The deep woody spice is complemented by red berries and stewed fruit, with grassy notes emerging. On the palate, this single grain whisky is surprisingly rich and sweet, with creamy and syrupy textures. The finish ends with a subtle warmth and lingering sweetness. Indulge in this unique blend for a truly decadent experience.

No Smoke – No Peat – Cask Strength – Natural Colour – Single Grain

Bright, fruity and stunningly coloured Scotch from the west coast.

Girvan Distillery hugs the Ayrshire coast on a latitude with the stunning Ailsa Craig rock protruding from the sea. The same site is home to the renowned Ailsa Bay single malt.

The spirit was filled originally to ex–bourbon wood before being re-racked during maturation a cask that is unique as it gets. The butt was made the old school way- the staves were almost 4cm thick! They don’t make them like that anymore. The port cask had been used to mature old tawny port for over 60 years. The effect this had on the Girvan liquid is outrageous. The colour has deepened to a deep garnet (hence the name) and the aroma springs out of the glass.

As always…. Un-filtered. Natural colour. Cask Strength.

About the Producer

The Uncharted Whisky Company is an independent whisky bottler operated exclusively by Jack Breslin and Dana de Vos. They work in the gorgeous village of Fintry, Scotland where they harbour a passion for creating exceptional whisky.

They select casks of whisky that they love. Sometimes bottling them straight away and sometimes maturing them further. Sometimes they do something a little more radical and finish the maturation in a completely different cask.

Each whisky has a name which comes from the world of music.  Even their blend is called Mixtape.  It is fun and creative and as interesting to collect as the vinyl.

Their goal is quite simply to create!
