Bellavista's 'Alma' Franciacorta Gran Cuvée Brut NV is a straw yellow sparkling wine featuring green reflections and very fine consistent bubbles. Its aromas range from ripe fruit and fresh flowers to vanilla and pastry notes. In the mouth, it is full-bodied and enveloping, with a long, harmonious finish.

About the Producer

The Bellavista estate encompasses 200 hectares of vineyards set in a natural amphitheatre in the Franciacorta zone's western region. Its glacial soil, abundant with stones, is perfect for cultivating the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes needed for producing refined Franciacorta. Vittorio Moretti founded the estate, named 'Bellavista' (Italian for 'beautiful view') in the early 1970s, releasing the first vintage in 1979. The introduction of young winemaker Mattia Vezzola in 1981 changed the estate's trajectory, propelling Bellavista to the top of Italy's sparkling wine producers.

Vineyard and Winery

Bellavista cultivates 190 hectares of vines in 10 communes within the Franciacorta DOCG, known for their prime exposure, character, and ability to create expressive wines. From these vineyards, 103 individual parcels of wine are crafted.

Grapes for this Franciacorta are vinified separately. 15% undergo fermentation and are further aged seven months in small oak barrels. These are then blended with reserve wines drawn from between six and nine vintages. After blending, the wine is bottled and a secondary fermentation occurs, followed by four years aging on the lees. The addition of reserve wines provides Bellavista's hallmark consistent style in each bottle. A glorious Sparkling wine made in the Traditional Method.
