Calmel & Joseph Villa Blanche Syrah has a ripe raspberry and blackcurrant nose with a touch of vanilla. The vanilla becomes stronger on the palate, along with some sweet, allspice and nutmeg-like baking spices. Simple and fruity.

 The spice on this wine means that it works very well with dishes such as Lamb Tagine, grilled peppers as well as pairing nicely with a cheese board for those days when preparing a big dinner is not on the agenda.

About the Producer

Calmel & Joseph was founded in 1995, formed as a result of a combining of passion for excellence alongside a shared vision.  This lead to their decision to settle at the end of the ‘Chemin de la Madone’ near the beautiful city of Carcassonne in the Corbières appellation, the westernmost sub-region in the Languedoc-Roussillon.
