Stift Klosterneuburg, Wiener Gemischter Satz is a field blend from from the Nußberg, Vienna's most famous vineyard.  It is a mix of the typical Viennese grape varieties and includes in the blend: Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Riesling, Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc), Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Muskateller.

The bottled results of this diverse field blend are an aesthetically pleasing medium yellow coloured wine which is a star-bright in your glass.  There are aromas and tastes of fresh green apples with notes of other orchard fruits alongside kumquats and a light floral touch.  On the palate the wine is juicy with refreshing acidity, and a previously unannounced touch of tropical fruits in the finish.

Stift Klosterneuburg, Wiener Gemischter Satz pairs superbly with cheese boards complete with pates and chutneys and delicious baker's bread.  Try it with pork dishes and white meat or it also works delightfully as an aperitif.
